Jan’s Jungle is a local, family-owned greenhouse and nursery rooted in Erie’s community. We’re not like the fleeting pop-ups that show up in the spring. Providing quality bedding flowers and veggies to Erie and the surrounding areas isn’t just a seasonal gig for us—it’s a year-round commitment we take pride in.

Meet Jan
A lifelong love of flowers turned community favorite
Jan Hulstrom has always had a passion for flowers. Living on a dairy farm, there was always room for thousands of blooms—so it was only natural she started growing her own in a small greenhouse. That one greenhouse soon became three (affectionately called Baby Bear, Mama Bear, and Papa Bear), and in 2010, Jan began sharing her flowers with the public.
When you swing by the greenhouse, you might also meet a few friendly donkeys and cows!
Jan is a retired middle school teacher. She and her husband Rick have three kids—Katie, Tory, and Britt—and nine grandchildren: Tanner, Finnley, Bennett, Iris, Daisy, Charlie, Penny, Maverick, and Leola.
